Board Fabrication Complete

All of the boards have been fabricated and testing is beginning. The first stepper driver worked just fine with the stepper tester and I should be moving on to the other drivers and the Endstops soon. Trying to work out a couple of kinks I'm having with the Arduino software. Regrettably, I will most likely *not* be printing by the end of the year as I had previously hoped. Too much stuff 'round the house needs a fixin'. Oh well, so long as I can get the 'bot working, I'll call it a minor triumph. More updates to come!

My printing plans always go that way on me, too! Something either goes wrong with the machine, or RL imposes it's ugly, reality laden head to remind me I'm not a kid anymore living off my parents. Damn, adulthood sucks...

Yeah, but think of the fringe benefits of being an adult...no mandatory bedtime, watch whatever TV show you like...in a nutshell; more freedom of choice. Granted that freedom comes with a heathly pricetag (ie responsibility), but it's worth it. The thing that's gonna keep me from printing is that I don't think I'll be able to build the extruder in the 3 weeks and change left in the year. Not impossible...just very, very unlikely.

All of us in the project find two things out:

1.) the machine always takes longer to build than we thought.

2.) it always breaks at least twice after we think we've "really" fixed it!

Keep trying to get it done.

Merry Christmas
