Ok.
The purpose here is to document any and all of the various projects that I may have going on at any given time. Partly for posterity and partly because I’m conceited enough to believe that other folks are interested in what I’m working on.
My current obsession is RepRap. It’s an open source Rapid-Prototyping machine that you can build yourself at a fraction of the cost of a commercial machine. Currently, I’m working on a bootstrap version as the “official” RepRap uses more than a few printed parts that I am not willing to pay for. Well, pay for someone else to print. The alternative? Build something smaller that can fabricate the parts I need! Enter the McWire Cartesian Bot, or at least a slighty modified variation. I’ll be posting my current progress on this in a bit and hopefully (provided the ADD doesn't kick in) there will be more to follow.
